I couldn't be happier with the value I got for my money at Freezer Hostel & Culture Center. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the common areas were absolutely amazing. The location was great, especially for catching a glimpse of the northern lights, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
For breakfast, it would have been nice to have a wider variety of options. The morning spread could use a bit more variety to cater to different tastes.

The hostel had a great atmosphere with frequent concerts and cultural events, creating a lively and interesting vibe. the staff were friendly and welcoming, providing a social and sociable experience. the common area was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of games and couches to relax on. the kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals.
The room I stayed in had a bad smell, potentially due to the garbage can, and the linen was old and uncomfortable. the room was also cold at night with no option to adjust the radiator temperature.

The view from the hostel was absolutely stunning, with a beautiful glacier just outside the door. The location at the top end of the peninsula was also great, offering a peaceful and serene atmosphere. I also really appreciated the fact that parking was easy to find, making it convenient for guests with cars.
The noise level, as the bedrooms were right next to the common areas. It would have been nice if the kitchen door was shut and the area closed off to chatting at night.

Awesome common spaces with plenty of entertainment options
The common areas at this hostel were absolutely amazing! the big couches, the movie theater , and table-tennis table were all so much fun. Plus, the owner even performed a guitar concert for us, making our stormy night unforgettable. the beds were comfy and everything was kept clean, which was really appreciated.
There were a couple of things that didn't meet our expectations. the WiFi didn't reach our room, so we couldn't check our next day's route, which was a bit inconvenient.

I had an amazing stay at the hostel. The staff went above and beyond, waiting for me even after reception had closed. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The hostel itself was a cool and weird place, being a former fish factory turned culture center. My kids loved it! The kitchen was well-equipped and functional, and we even had a family room where we could park our car right in front. The drawings on the walls added to the unique atmosphere, and there was even an extra room with a massage chair and games. We wished we could have stayed longer!

The social atmosphere in this hostel was amazing! The common area was spacious and inviting, with plenty of comfortable seating. I had interesting conversations and met nice people every day. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, always available to answer questions. The hostel also had a great culture center, with live concerts and cinema nights. The location in Snaefellsnes was perfect, offering diverse landscapes and plenty to see.
That the dorm beds were quite basic. there were only two showers, but they did offer discounted tickets to the local swimming pool.

Great ambiance, friendly staff, and amazing live music performances. The communal area was huge and had comfortable sofas, perfect for relaxing and socializing. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment for cooking, making it convenient for self-catering. The location was stunning, with beautiful countryside views, mountains on one side, and the sea on the other. The hostel was also close to a cycle path and had plenty of nearby sights to explore.
The cleanliness of the hostel was a major letdown. The bedsheets and floors were covered in hair, and the toilets were not well maintained.
